We are thrilled to introduce our first Scheme of Work (SOW) titled "Water Music," available for free download for 48 hours! This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers to access a well-rounded music curriculum tailored for lower Key Stage 2 (KS2) students. Your feedback will be invaluable in helping us enhance future SOWs, so please email us at comejointhechorus@gmail.com with any helpful suggestions after you have used the SOW.
What is the "Water Music" SOW?
The "Water Music" SOW is a well-designed 6-week lesson plan that covers key aspects of music education. It emphasizes listening, performing, singing, composing, and music theory. Centered around the theme of water, this curriculum not only makes learning relatable but also connects to subjects like environmental science and geography.

Each lesson has a consistent structure, making it easy for both teachers and students to follow. The lessons begin with a Singing Starter, where students engage with the Water Canon song in different formats, including two-part and three-part rounds. This step-by-step approach fosters musical skills, allowing all students to participate.
If you are a teacher of Primary of Elementary school Music, the "Water Music SOW" is for you! The digital format is customizable through PowerPoint, making it suitable for different teaching environments, including remote or blended learning. The price will go back to £4.99 after 48 hours, so make sure you click now!
If you have a singing classroom or choir - make sure you check out our newest YouTube sing along video for the beautiful canon/ round "White Coral Bells". This adapted and lengthened version would also suit a performance and comes with the backing track at the end of the video for practicing! As with all our videos, you can download the accompanying mp3s and lead sheets from the website for your performances!
